Abstract:

This study examines how supply chain cooperation influences corporate resilience and sustainable development in Mexican manufacturing firms. Drawing on dynamic capabilities theory, the research proposes that cooperation strengthens firms’ adaptive capacity and that corporate resilience acts as a key mechanism linking collaboration with sustainability outcomes. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used, based on survey data from managers in strategic manufacturing subsectors. The model was analyzed through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that supply chain cooperation positively influences corporate resilience, and corporate resilience positively contributes to sustainable development. However, the direct relationship between supply chain cooperation and sustainable development was not supported. These results suggest that cooperation alone is insufficient to achieve sustainability unless firms develop resilience capabilities that allow them to absorb and reconfigure collaborative resources. The study positions corporate resilience as a strategic bridge between supply chain cooperation and sustainable development.
